Nathan Rayan advises clients in the areas of employment law, business and commercial disputes, and civil litigation. By providing practical, strategic advice, he helps businesses and individuals navigate the dispute-resolution process and empowers his clients to resolve their disputes efficiently, without compromising their rights. Nathan provides advice that is both legally sound and aligned with the client’s goals.

Nathan’s North Shore roots run deep. He was born at Lion’s Gate Hospital, grew up in Lynn Valley, and attended Law School at UBC. After starting his legal career in Toronto and then practicing in downtown Vancouver, he finally moved his practice back to North Vancouver in 2018, where he has been ever since. He joined the partnership at Lakes, Whyte LLP in 2024.

In the community, Nathan is passionate about housing, development, and transportation policy. He has volunteered with a variety of not-for-profit organizations, has co-founded private businesses, and has sat on a variety of boards and committees. Outside the office, Nathan enjoys travel, spending time outdoors, sports, cooking, brewing beer, and maintaining his 110-year-old Lower Lonsdale heritage home.
